The government has invited bids from investors for 25 county aggregation and industrial parks, which are meant to stimulate value addition of agricultural produce and increase income for smallholder farmers.

Industry PS Dr.Juma Mukhwana says the county aggregation and industrial parks serve as hubs for businesses to collaborate, access specialized facilities, and leverage shared resources.
He says ultimately they will be driving economic productivity and prosperity as well as promote industrialization and job creation.
“The government has set out Sh9 million as the bid security for each of the County Aggregation and Industrial Parks,” says Mukhwana.
Successful bidders will be required to put up at least four manufacturing sheds measuring 4,000 square meters.
The 25 targeted counties for the county aggregation and industrial parks are; Baringo, Bomet, Bungoma, Elgeyo Marakwet, Isiolo, Kajiado, Kakamega.
Others are Kericho, Kilifi, Kisii, Kisumu, Kitui, Laikipia, Lamu, Machakos, Mandera, Narok, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Samburu, Taita Taveta, Tharaka Nithi, Trans Nzoia, Vihiga
