The vibrant meeting provided an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on the institution’s impressive progress in academics, leadership development and learner welfare. Throughout the event, speakers commended the school’s administration for its visionary leadership, sound management practices and unwavering commitment to providing quality education in a conducive learning environment.

A major highlight of the AGM was the recognition of students who posted outstanding results in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination. The top-performing candidates were honoured for their exemplary performance, with stakeholders noting that their success reflects the dedication of teachers, supportive parents and determined learners.
Congratulating the award recipients, Kosgei said the school’s excellent KCSE performance demonstrates what can be achieved through hard work and collaboration.
“We are proud of our candidates who excelled in the 2025 KCSE examination. Their success is a reflection of hard work, commitment and teamwork among our learners, teachers and parents. We celebrate their achievement and encourage our current students to remain focused, disciplined and determined to surpass these results,” she said.
Parents who attended the AGM expressed confidence in the direction the school is taking, applauding the administration for maintaining transparency, accountability and open communication with stakeholders. They reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the school in ensuring every learner receives a quality education.
Beyond academic excellence, Mitua Girls Senior School continues to invest heavily in leadership and character development. On Wednesday, the institution successfully conducted elections for its Students’ Council in a peaceful, free and transparent exercise that reflected the school’s commitment to democratic values and responsible leadership.
The election was officiated by Deputy Principal Madam Esther Wambulwa, who congratulated the newly elected student leaders and urged them to uphold discipline, teamwork and integrity while serving their fellow students.
Chief Principal Kosgei also challenged the newly elected student leaders to embrace servant leadership and work closely with the administration in fostering a positive school culture.
“Leadership is about service, responsibility and leading by example. I urge the newly elected Students’ Council to work closely with the administration in promoting unity, discipline and a positive learning environment. Together, we shall continue building a school where every learner has an opportunity to excel,” she said.
