Kabkara United Football Club will take on Machakha in the first semi-final of the Lwandanyi Ward Youth Football tournament at Kabkara Primary School tomorrow (Saturday).

The second semi-final will pit Barcelona FC against Korosiandet at the same venue, with the winners meeting in the finals on Sunday at the same venue.
Kabkara United emerged winners of Pool A with seven points from three matches. Barcelona took second position with 4 points from the same number of games; Tororo and Tamlega tied on 3 points apiece.

In Pool B, Korosiandet emerged winners with 7 points from three games, one point ahead of Machakha, which took second position. Lwandanyi took third position with 4 points while Akobwait finished last with no point.

In Thursday last preliminary matches, Korosiandet trounced Machakha 3-0 with goals from Oliver Onyapidi in the 28th minute, Abra Nkenya in the 35th minute and Joseph Kiso in the 41st minute. Barcelona
edged Tamlega 1-0 with Edgar Obare, scoring the lone goal in the 10th minute.
Kabkara United’s patron James Eumonit is sponsoring the tournament that is co-sponsored by Hassan Gatimwa. The curtain for the one week event comes down on Sunday with a playoff and final matches.

Kabkara is using the tournament to recruit at least 10 players to bolster the team in the next level of the league they will feature in.
