Busia soccer champions John Osogo Secondary School, popularly known as JOSS, will open their campaign against Bungoma champions Friends School Lukhuna in Pool B of the Western regional secondary school games at Approved School in Mukumu on Thurdsay, July 20th 2023 kick off time 11am.
JOSS, which took the county title after beating Madende 1-0 in the finals, will be hoping to register victory against Lukhuna to boost their chances of booking a ticket to the semi-finals to be played on Friday.

They will play their second match on the same day against Vihiga runners-up Emusire on the same day at 3pm. JOSS wind up their prelimaries against
Kakamega runners-up Shanderema on July 21st, 2023.
Coincidentally, Busia runners-up up Bujumba from Butula, which replaced suspended Madende,
will take on Kibabii also from Bungoma in Pool A at Mukumu Boys lower field on Thursday starting 9am.
Bujumba, which is making a comeback after being relegated to the periphery for some time, will play their second match against Vihiga Boys starting 1pm. Their last preliminary match on Friday will pit them against Musingu.
The regional games will start tomorrow,
July 19th, 2023, at 2pm, with a procession of participating teams, speeches, and later boys soccer opening match between Musingu and Vihiga Boys.
