Mbale City,Uganda.

Bugisu cultural leader Umukuka III Sir Jude Mike Mudoma has urged Uganda President Yoweri Museveni to intervene regarding the safety of Bamasaaba and other Ugandans facing renewed xenophobic threats in South Africa.

Through spokesperson Steven Masiga, the leader called for high-level diplomatic engagement with the South African government, African Union and United Nations to ensure security, recalling historical ties between the nations.

The appeal follows reports of targeted intimidation against migrants, prompting the Bugisu administration to monitor the situation while seeking state action.
