BUNGOMA, Kenya
Kenyan clergy have called on young people, particularly Generation Z, to uphold a positive vision for the nation and to be agents of peace and transformation.
Speaking at King Jesus Faith Ministries Church in Bungoma, the religious leaders urged the youth, political class and other visionary figures to remain steadfast in patriotism and fill the leadership gap left after the death of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Led by Archbishop Harrison Ng’ang’a of the Christian Foundation Fellowship of Kenya, the clergy pledged to continue organizing national prayer meetings and fostering unity across the country.
“All this will only happen when young people remain at the forefront,” Ng’ang’a said, adding that the elderly must play their part in mentoring future generations.
The delegation, which included bishops, pastors and other clergy from across Kenya, announced plans to hold national prayers in Kisumu in August 2026.
Also present at the Bungoma meeting were student leaders and youth representatives from institutions of higher learning.
