BUNGOMA, Kenya (Oct. 10, 2025)
As he sets his sights on the 2027 Bungoma gubernatorial race, Jim Nduruchi has unveiled a bold women empowerment program aimed at inspiring and supporting women across the county and beyond.
Nduruchi, a well-known figure with global connections and a passion for development, is rolling out a grassroots initiative that seeks to provide opportunities for women—opportunities he believes will spur sustainable development and transform communities.
“Women carry the aspirations of a community and an entire generation,” Nduruchi said during a recent address. “Without women, the community and the pulse of the nation cannot move.”
The program, which focuses on entrepreneurship, access to capital, mentorship and mobility solutions, targets women in both rural and urban areas.
From the bustling informal markets of Kimilili to the struggling households of Kondole in Kisumu, the initiative recognizes the common thread of resilience among Kenyan women.
“The prayer of a mother deep in rural Bungoma is the same as that of a woman striving to make ends meet in the suburbs of Nairobi,” Nduruchi said. “They all want a better future for their families.”
One of the cornerstones of the initiative is economic empowerment through small business support, especially for rural women who face limited access to resources.
The program will also incorporate training sessions, digital literacy, and networking opportunities for women looking to scale up their ventures.
Nduruchi’s vision, backed by partnerships both local and international, is rooted in inclusivity.
He said his goal is to ensure no woman is left behind in the county’s journey toward progress.
As 2027 approaches, the gubernatorial hopeful continues to campaign on a platform of equity, innovation and opportunity for all.
His women-centered strategy is already gaining traction among community leaders, women’s groups and youth organizers.
“Inspiring one woman empowers a family. Empowering thousands can transform a county,” Nduruchi .
