A farmer in Bungoma’s Lwakhakha area is in distress after thieves stole eight of his cows. Jialo Masinde, 61, discovered the theft upon waking, finding that his cattle—comprising three bulls, three cows, and two calves—valued at approximately Sh240,000, were missing.
Police Response
Authorities from Lwakhakha Police Station have visited the scene and confirmed that the cows had been tethered in Masinde’s compound before being taken under cover of night. The police are currently working to trace the stolen animals and have promised to provide further updates on their progress.
