Israel launched new airstrikes in southern Lebanon and areas near Beirut as tensions in the Middle East continued to escalate.

The confrontation intensified after joint U.S. and Israeli strikes targeted Iranian military and strategic facilities.
Tehran and its regional allies have been prompted to launch retaliatory missile and drone attacks against Israeli and Western-linked targets.
Since then, regional tensions have surged, with Iran warning it is prepared for a prolonged confrontation while Israel continues striking groups allied to Tehran, including Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Analysts warn that Israel’s latest strikes could further widen the conflict if Hezbollah responds militarily, potentially drawing more countries into the confrontation and deepening instability across the region.
