There are moments in the life of a school when numbers cease to be mere statistics and instead become a powerful testimony of sacrifice, discipline, and unbreakable belief.
For Rang’ala Boys High School, the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results mark such a defining moment, one that has stirred pride, hope, and renewed confidence across Siaya County.
The results paint a moving picture of growth and resilience. Rang’ala Boys presented 259 candidates for the 2025 examinations, a sharp rise from 190 candidates in 2024.
Yet even with the increased enrolment, the school did not falter. Instead, it surged forward, posting a mean score of 7.865, equivalent to a strong mean grade of B-.
This was a remarkable leap from the previous year’s mean score of 5.826 (grade C), a clear sign that a quiet academic revolution had taken root within the school.
Perhaps the most emotional highlight of the results is the 100 per cent pass rate. Every single candidate passed. Not one was left behind.
In a system where many schools struggle with dropouts and low grades, Rang’ala Boys delivered a rare and powerful statement: with the right guidance, every learner can succeed.
The grade distribution tells a story of excellence earned through long nights of revision and relentless mentorship.
Twenty-two candidates scored A-, 62 attained B+, and 73 earned B grades. Another 50 posted B-, 35 scored C+, and 12 attained C grades.
Strikingly, no candidate recorded a D grade or below,an achievement that speaks volumes about the school’s commitment to academic dignity for every learner.
Beyond the grades lies the promise of transformed futures. A total of 212 candidates qualified for direct university entry, translating to a university qualification rate of 81.85 per cent.
For many families, these numbers represent dreams once thought distant—dreams now firmly within reach.
At the heart of this success is Senior Principal Lucas Olunja, whose steady and visionary leadership has guided Rang’ala Boys through a season of renewal.
Under his watch, discipline was restored, teaching standards sharpened, and students inspired to believe in their own potential.
Teachers, driven by a shared mission, stood shoulder to shoulder, offering mentorship, extra lessons, and unwavering support.
The 2025 KCSE results have not only crowned Rang’ala Boys High School as one of the top-performing schools in Siaya County but have also reignited hope in the power of public education.
As the school community celebrates, one truth stands tall: Rang’ala Boys did not just improve its grades,it changed lives, one candidate at a time.
