For the students and staff of Mitua Girls Senior School, the release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results was a moment of pride, celebration, and reflection.
A Remarkable Performance
Out of 466 candidates, 299 students (64.16%) qualified for direct university entry, while the school recorded a mean grade of 7.04506 (C+). Most learners scored within the B and C grade bands, demonstrating consistency and resilience across subjects.
“This is a proud moment for everyone connected to this school,” said Chief Principal Angeline Kosgei, who has been at the forefront of the school’s transformation. “These results are the outcome of teamwork, discipline, and the commitment of both staff and learners. Our focus on mentorship, regular assessments, and close monitoring of syllabus coverage has truly paid off.”
Supporting Every Learner
Mitua Girls’ success is no accident.
The school implemented targeted programs to ensure students stayed on track throughout the year.
Remedial classes helped those struggling in certain subjects, while guidance and counselling sessions kept learners motivated and focused.
Regular performance tracking enabled teachers to identify gaps and provide timely interventions.
“Our goal was to make sure no student felt left behind,” Principal Kosgei explained. “Every learner received attention tailored to their needs, and this created an environment where students could thrive academically and personally.”
Teachers, Parents, and Community: A Winning Team
Teachers played a crucial role, going beyond lesson plans to mentor and encourage students.
Parents and education stakeholders have applauded the results, noting that the school demonstrates how strong leadership, clear goals, and a supportive culture can transform learning outcomes.
“Hard work, guidance, and encouragement—these three pillars have made the difference at Mitua Girls,” remarked a parent whose daughter excelled in the exams.
Looking to the Future
The school is already planning ways to build on this achievement, including expanding enrichment programs, enhancing university preparation, and fostering holistic development.
Principal Kosgei emphasizes that academic excellence is just one part of the journey.
“With discipline, teamwork, and dedication, we are preparing learners not just for exams, but for life,” she said.
As Mitua Girls Senior School basks in the glory of its 2025 KCSE success, one message stands out clearly: success is a product of shared effort, resilience, and a culture of continuous support.
