Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has urged bodaboda operators to embrace self-discipline.

Speaking to the group’s county leadership when they visited his Mapera home, Lusaka emphasized the importance of maintaining order while conducting their business and highlighted the need for financial integrity within their groups.
“Observing high discipline is crucial, and it is equally important to ensure financial responsibility in managing your Saccos,” stated Governor Lusaka.

He expressed regret over previous attempts to support them, citing the mismanagement of a bus provided during his previous regime.
“Even as we extend our assistance, let’s prioritize transparency within our organizations,” he added.

The governor personally contributed one million Kenyan shillings to their fund.
The bodaboda operators, led by Chair Alex Kisuya, pledged to pay county levies to contribute to the county’s development resources.
