It was a joyous moment for a section of residents of West Nalondo Ward in Kabuchai constituency as the area MCA Polycarp Kimeta Wandabusi gifted them with foodstuffs this festive season.
As a show of humility and care, the Ward leader has made it a norm to gift his people foodstuffs every Christmas period.
He stated that it has been difficult for residents to afford such foodstuffs during this hard economic times.
“Every year, I have to eat with my people, before and after I was elected I have continuously given them food so that they can also afford something for their children,” said Wandabusi.
Residents started thronging his Luucho home as early as 5am on Sunday to receive foodstuffs which included, rice, maize floor, chapati flour and fat.
“I am grateful to God for the gift of Life, the little I have gotten i.have to share with my people, they are the once who elevated me to the position am currently holding, I have to appreciate them back in kind,” he said.
The ward leader added, “Embracing Christmas Vibes of Love, Cheer, Compassion and Joy as we Shared Holiday Goodies and Tokens with The Great People of West Nalondo ward,”.
Adults and children alike left the MCAs compound a happy lot and lauded him for standing with and supporting them during this festive season.
Mama Mary Nafika, a mother of 7 children lauded the MCA for his kind gesture and called on him never to tire or his pockets running dry.
“I was worried that my children will be roaming into other people’s homestead begging for Christmas food but through the MCA they will stay put as I prayer them delicious food, thanks to Mr.Wandabusi,” she said.
