The much-anticipated Trans Nzoia George Natembeya Governor’s Cup dubbed NATE CUP 2023 Edition is slated to be launched on 24th November 2023 in Kitale.

Speaking during the preliminary meeting, the CECM Gender Youth culture and sports Chanelle Kittony confirmed receiving the green light from the executive office to initiate teams’ registration from the grass roots.
The tournament shall see Eight (8) boys’ teams and four (girls) teams aged between 18-23 years taking part in the championship aimed at identifying, nurturing and promoting football talents in the county.
The selected best players shall in turn form a Trans nzoia County team that shall feature in various locals and international championships to monetize the talents.
Players shall also be given job opportunities under the County Government of Trans nzoia.
Chanelle has encouraged stakeholders to prepare formidable teams ahead of the championship terming it one of its own with a lot of prizes to be won.
Teams’ registration through respective Sub-County Coordinators starts on Wednesday 1st November through to 10th November 2023.
