Don’t Sell Maize Cheaply, Lusaka Advises Farmers

GOVERNOR’S PRESS UNIT

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has cautioned farmers against falling into the traps of the current exploitative market maize prices.

“Don’t be lured into selling maize cheaply.You deserve better. Stay put as we find a solution for maize prices”, He Said.

Lusaka attributed the current bumper harvest across the County to the free farm input distribution by his administration, noting that plans are underway to cushion farmers from exploitation.

“We are working on alternative ways of cushioning our farmers both at the County and National level”,He observed.

The Governor reiterated his firm commitment in bettering the livelihoods of residents through his numerous development projects already on the trail.

“We are on the last mile, the legacy regime, service delivery for all”,He reaffirmed.

He spoke at Siritanyi Catholic Church, Musikoma Ward, Kanduyi Sub County, in a funds drive towards the infrastructural development of the church.

Kanduyi MP Hon.John Makali, a host of MCAs and other leaders in attendance.
