Government Projects Will Be Completed on Time, Says Top Official.

By Timothy Wekesa

The National Government has assured Kenyans that all Kenya Kwanza flagship projects will be completed within the set timelines.

During an inspection tour of various government projects in Bungoma County, Mr. Joseph Busiega, Chief of Staff in the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring the timely completion of these projects to benefit citizens.

Mr. Busiega highlighted significant progress across sectors, including affordable housing, road infrastructure, edible oil crop promotion, and the revival of the cotton industry in Bungoma.

The inspection team visited Malakisi Ginnery, the affordable housing project at Musikoma, and the ongoing construction of the Musikoma-Mungatsi Road (28 km) and Miyanga-Mateka Road (14 km), both being upgraded to bitumen standards.

He further noted the government’s investment in skill development for young people, aimed at equipping them for modern employment opportunities.

Additionally, the Musakasa Technical Training Institute in Kimaeti Sub County has been earmarked for expansion as part of the government’s short-term development plans.

Accompanying Mr. Busiega on the tour were Western Kenya Region Commissioner Samson Irungu, Bungoma County Commissioner Thomas K. Sankei, Policy & Strategy Advisor Anne Olubendi, and other national and county officials.
