The annual Waziri cup tournament has taken shape in Webuye as focus is centered on helping the less fortunate in the community.

Speaking at Webuye Pan Paper stadium after presiding over knockout matches, the patron Salim Waziri said the Waziri 1Xbet tournament is not all about sports but about service to humanity.

“The core objective this tournament is to bring the community together so that we can utilize the unity in sports to promote our orphans, widows, less fortunate and those living with disability,” he said.

He used the opportunity to call upon local leaders and well wishers to step up and support the local teams in meeting their expenditures citing that the majority of the football teams are struggling despite coming from areas with potential sponsors.

The participating teams have loaded the patron of Waziri 1Xbet tournament for giving them an opportunity to expose their talents adding that it is a stepping stone to boost players to the next level.

“We have talents at grassroots which are likely to move to the next step through the tournament,” said Nambami FC head coach Gilbert Zaha.

His sentiments were reiterated by his captain Morgan Khaemba who said the annual Waziri 1Xbet tournament is one of the best opportunities for young players to stir growth in their football career.
