Newly sworn-in Bulambuli County Member of Parliament Emmanuel Biara Wepukhulu has returned home from Parliament to a warm reception by supporters, following his official swearing-in ceremony.
In a message shared shortly after his return, Wepukhulu thanked residents of Bulambuli for the trust and support they accorded him during the election, saying the victory belonged to the people.
Addressing supporters, the legislator said he was deeply grateful for the mandate entrusted to him and pledged to serve the interests of the people of Bulambuli diligently.
“We have officially returned from Parliament after being sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Bulambuli County.
This victory belongs to you, the people, and we are deeply grateful for the mandate you have entrusted to me,” said Wepukhulu.
The newly elected MP announced that residents and supporters would gather at Leisure Park for a brief reception to mark the occasion, adding that preparations were underway for a larger celebration to be held later in Bulambuli.
The atmosphere was reportedly filled with excitement as supporters welcomed their new representative, expressing optimism over his leadership and development agenda for the constituency.
Wepukhulu’s swearing-in marks the beginning of his tenure in Parliament at a time when residents are expecting improved service delivery, infrastructure development, youth empowerment and better representation on national issues affecting the people of Bulambuli.
Political leaders and supporters who accompanied him described the occasion as historic, saying the people were eager to work closely with their new MP in advancing development projects across the county.
The planned grand celebration in Bulambuli is expected to bring together residents, local leaders and supporters from different parts of the constituency as they celebrate the new political chapter under Wepukhulu’s leadership.
