BUNGOMA
Cardinal Otunga Girls’ National School, Bungoma, has invited secondary schools to participate in the 2026 English Contest and Symposium scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the school.
The academic forum will bring together Form Three and Form Four students for a competitive and interactive learning experience designed to strengthen English language proficiency.
Students will compete in several categories including Oral Skills, Oral Literature, Poetry and Grammar.
In addition, Form Four participants will analyze and present an excerpt from “Fathers of Nations” by Paul B. Vitta, a set text studied in preparation for the K.C.S.E examinations.
According to the organizers, each participating school will field a team of 10 students, with a registration fee of KSh 2,500 per team.
Participants have also been advised to carry packed lunch.
The event will also feature engaging mentorship sessions led by K.C.S.E examiners, offering students practical insights and strategies to improve their performance in English ahead of the national examinations.
Teachers and students are encouraged to attend the symposium, which organizers say will provide a valuable platform for learning, competition and academic exchange.
