KABUCHAI, Kenya
Marobo Friends Senior School has recorded its strongest academic performance since its establishment following the release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, placing the institution at the top of schools in Kabuchai Sub-county.
For the first time in the school’s history, two candidates attained grade A- (minus), helping the school post a mean score of 6.615. The performance ranked Marobo Friends first in Kabuchai.
Of the 79 candidates who sat the examinations, 41 scored C+ and above, translating to a 53 percent university transition rate, according to school records.
Senior Principal Joseph Tom Nyachwaya attributed the results to teamwork among staff, learners and parents.
“These results are a great motivation to us,” Nyachwaya said while addressing journalists during the admission of Grade 10 students.
“They are the product of cooperation between teachers, students, parents and the Board of Management. With discipline and focus, our learners can compete nationally.”
Nyachwaya said the school is well prepared for the transition to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), noting a strong turnout for the current Grade 10 intake.
He invited parents from Kabuchai, Bungoma County and across the country to consider the school for secondary education, citing improved facilities and consistent academic progress.
“We have the infrastructure and the commitment needed to support both academic excellence and holistic development,” Nyachwaya said.
Marobo Friends Senior School has steadily improved its KCSE performance in recent years, with the 2025 results marking a major milestone for the institution.
