Bungoma Pride: Wakoli Hails Consolata Nabwire’s Swearing-In as Senator

NAIROBI, Kenya

Bungoma Senator David Wakoli has hailed the nomination and swearing-in of Hon. Consolata Nabwire Wakwabubi as a Senator, describing it as a moment of pride for her family and for Bungoma County.

Wakoli, speaking shortly after her swearing-in said Wakwabubi’s entry into the Senate not only boosts Bungoma’s presence in national politics but also strengthens the county’s role in safeguarding devolution.

“This is not only a proud moment for her and her family, but also for us in Bungoma County,” Wakoli said. “Hon. Consolata, I joyfully welcome you to the Senate. As we take on the noble mandate of safeguarding devolution, I assure you of my full support and partnership. Together, as a family from Bungoma, we shall work hand in hand to serve our people and raise the voice of our county at the national stage.”

The senator emphasized that Wakwabubi’s nomination is a win for inclusivity and a testament to Bungoma’s growing influence in national leadership.

Her swearing-in has been met with celebration across Bungoma where residents view her appointment as a step forward in amplifying the county’s interests in Parliament.

Wakoli pledged to work closely with her in championing equitable resource distribution, improved development and stronger representation for Bungoma at the national level.
