The ministry of health has received another consignment of drugs from the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency worthy Sh4.3 Million.

This is in addition to last week’s consignment worthy Sh38 million which was supplied to 128 healthy facilities and 19 health centres across the county.

Speaking at Bungoma County Referral Hospital after receiving drugs CECM Dr Andrew Wamalwa assured area residents that the commodities will last for the next two months.

“We are glad we have received these drugs, it will go a long way in serving our people for the next two months, another consignment will be delivered in December, this a step forward in ensuring that our people live a healthy life,” he said.

Dr Wamalwa further said the drugs will be supplied to all health facilities across the county to help area residents.

Wamalwa at the same time warned the health facility’s heads against the misuse of medicine send to their respective facilities.

“This medicine is meant to help our suffering patients, let it not be diverted to private health facilities, those found engaging in such backward activities will face disciplinary measures,” he warned.
