When the 2025 KCSE results were released, emotion swept through Ugenya High School like a long-awaited rain.

For the Victors Class, it was not merely an announcement of grades,it was the sound of years of effort finally being heard.

Relief, gratitude and quiet tears filled the air as a community realized that its faith, discipline and persistence had borne fruit.

Out of 469 candidates, an inspiring 91.68 per cent attained grades that qualify them for direct university entry.

Each percentage point carries a human story—of students who rose from self-doubt, parents who sacrificed silently, and teachers who refused to give up on any learner.

The school posted a commendable mean score of 7.63, built through consistency rather than chance.

The grade spread tells a story of collective progress: 53 B grades, 199 B-, 167 C+, and 36 C grades, with only three C- and none below that level.

It is a rare outcome that speaks loudly of a system where every learner matters and no one is allowed to fall behind unnoticed.

At the centre of this remarkable turnaround stands Senior Principal Mr. Martin Oyudo, whose leadership has been widely credited for the renewed academic focus and steady rise in performance.

Under his stewardship, Ugenya High School has undergone a quiet but powerful transformation, one defined by structure, accountability and a belief that excellence is achievable for every student.

Mr. Oyudo’s leadership has gone beyond academics. He has championed the strengthening of co-curricular activities, ensuring that learners grow not only in intellect but also in talent, confidence and character.

Sports, clubs and student leadership programmes have flourished, giving students a sense of belonging and pride and reinforcing the belief that success is multidimensional.

Teachers speak of a supportive environment where collaboration is encouraged, standards are clear and effort is recognized.

Students speak of a principal who listens, motivates and leads by example.

The result is a school culture anchored in the motto “Diligence to Excel,” now vividly reflected in both academic results and holistic student development.

For many families, the 2025 KCSE results mark a turning point, dreams once whispered are now within reach. University pathways have opened, futures have expanded, and hope has taken firm root.

As the Victors Class prepares to step into the next chapter of life, they leave behind a legacy of courage, discipline and collective achievement.

Their success stands as living proof that visionary leadership, committed teachers and determined learners can rewrite any narrative.

For Ugenya High School, the story of 2025 is not just about results. It is about leadership that believed, systems that worked and young lives transformed.

It is a reminder that when the right leadership meets unwavering commitment, excellence becomes inevitable.
