NAITIRI, Kenya (IP) — Tongaren MP Murumba Chikati has congratulated the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates of St. Patrick’s Naitiri High School after the institution posted one of its strongest performances in recent years, reinforcing its reputation as a leading academic centre in the region.

In a statement, Chikati attributed the improved results to discipline, consistency and teamwork among students, teachers and school administrators. He said the school’s progress reflects the growing emphasis on academic excellence within Tongaren Constituency.

St. Patrick’s Naitiri High School recorded a mean grade of 8.05 (B-), up from 6.91 in the previous KCSE examinations, alongside a 91.8 per cent university transition rate — indicators Chikati described as “clear proof of sustained improvement.”

The legislator extended his congratulations to all candidates from the school and wished them success as they transition to universities and other tertiary institutions.

Chikati also commended other schools in Tongaren Constituency that performed well in the 2025 KCSE examinations, saying the collective results demonstrate steady gains in education standards across the constituency.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education as a key driver of social and economic development, aligning the achievements with his broader development agenda under the theme #AdvancingTongaren.
