United Democratic Alliance (UDA) politician Nancy Kibaba has dismissed widespread rumors of her defection to the Edwin Sifuna -aligned Linda Mwananchi Brigade, declaring her unshakeable loyalty to the ruling government.
Speaking to supporters on radio, the UDA Woman Representative aspirant put to rest mounting speculation that she was shifting political camps, reaffirming her complete alignment with the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Kibaba also declared her absolute backing for Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa in his high-stakes bid for the Bungoma gubernatorial seat.
Turning her focus to the upcoming election, Kibaba launched a scathing attack on the incumbent Bungoma Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga accusing her of gross inefficiency and severe nepotism.
“Her office receives 60 million shillings per year, but there is absolutely nothing to show for it on the ground,” Kibaba said on local FM radio. “She has also completely institutionalized nepotism by employing her close relatives, including her own daughter.”
The battle for the highly contested Kenya Kwanza coalition ticket for the Bungoma Woman Representative seat remains a fierce three-way race between Kibaba, Wambilianga and Consolata Wakwabubi.
Ends.
