Bungoma Senator David Wafula Wakoli led Ford-Kenya’s push in Fafi Ward, Garissa as the party intensified its by-election campaign, while also maintaining a presence in Chwele/Kabuchai the home turf of party leader Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.
At a rally in Hagadera sub-county, Wakoli set the campaign agenda for Fafi, emphasizing peaceful, people-centered politics and improved service delivery.
He urged calm and respectful campaigning, saying the party will work to deliver leaders who “put the people first.”
Webuye East MP Martin Wanyonyi joined the delegation and took part in outreach to local residents, appealing to voters to back Ford-Kenya’s candidate in the by-election and focus on development promises.
FORD-Kenya Party National Chairman Hon. Joel Ruhu stormed Chewani Ward in Tana River County, leading a powerful and spirited campaign in support of the civic candidate Barakatuh Guyo.
The party top leaders led by Senator Wakoli later on campaigned for another candidate in Nanam ward,Turkana County.
The party highlighted its ambitions according to a national official who stated that the ‘lion’party is ready to compete and win in the 6 wards.
They include Fafi in Garissa,Nanam in Turkana,Chwele Kabuchai in Bungoma,Chewani in Tana River County and other 2 other seats in other parts of the country not confirmed by our IP reporter at the time of publishing this article.
Political strategists say the Garissa campaign complements Ford-Kenya’s push in Chwele/Kabuchai,Nanam,Chewani and the 2 other civic seats.
The party’s strategy is to expand beyond its Western Kenya stronghold while defending key established bases.
