The online community and fans of Jonathan Wanambwa, popularly known as MC Gavin, are reeling in grief after the TikToker and events host was allegedly killed by his girlfriend on Tuesday night.
Police said they have launched investigations into the incident which occurred on September 9, as conflicting accounts about what happened continue to surface.
A neighbor told reporters that the young woman appeared to have been waiting for Gavin to step outside before tragedy unfolded.
The 27-year-old entertainer had built a vibrant presence online, blending humor, dance and emceeing that earned him thousands of followers and a loyal fan base.
