Ronald Wachiye’s career in public service, marked by years as a police officer and provincial administrator, took center stage Friday as Bungoma Gov. Kenneth Lusaka joined mourners in Wamono for his burial.

Lusaka praised the late Wachiye as a disciplined and principled public servant who served the nation with diligence, integrity and a strong sense of duty.

He said Wachiye’s commitment to public service left a lasting imprint on colleagues, family members and the wider community.

The governor attended the ceremony in solidarity with the family of County Executive Committee Member for Education, Eng. Agnes Wachie, conveying condolences on behalf of the Bungoma County government and its residents.

We stand with the Wachie family in this moment of loss and pray that God grants them strength, comfort and peace,” Lusaka said.

County officials, staff members, local leaders, friends and residents attended the burial, gathering to honor and celebrate the life of a man remembered for his service to the public and dedication to duty.
