Community advocate Masinde Nguti has reaffirmed his commitment to uplifting vulnerable households across Kimilili Constituency, vowing to expand ongoing support programmes that have become a lifeline for many low-income families.
Speaking to this writer, Nguti said his focus remains on empowering less fortunate families through practical interventions aimed at improving livelihoods, restoring dignity and giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds a fair chance in life.
He noted that economic hardships, unemployment and the rising cost of living have pushed many families in Kimilili to the edge, underscoring the need for sustained intervention.
According to him, the next phase of his support will continue to prioritize food assistance, education support and small-scale economic empowerment initiatives designed to help households rebuild their financial footing.
Residents who have benefited from his previous programmes say Nguti’s efforts have been instrumental in easing daily struggles, particularly for widows, orphans and elderly community members with limited income.
His support has also extended to youth mentorship and strengthening community-based groups working to improve local welfare.
Nguti emphasized that empowering vulnerable families is a continuous journey not a one-time initiative and called for broader collaboration with local leaders, civil society and well-wishers.
He urged residents to embrace unity and shared responsibility as the constituency works to reduce poverty levels.
He further highlighted upcoming initiatives geared towards increasing access to education materials for needy learners, strengthening small business ventures and improving access to clean water in underserved villages.
As economic challenges persist across rural Bungoma, Nguti’s renewed pledge offers hope to families who depend on community-driven support systems to complement government efforts.
Residents say they are eager to see the next phase of his programmes rolled out across Kimilili’s villages in the coming months.
Nguti believes that with sustained commitment and collective effort, Kimilili can steadily uplift vulnerable households and build a stronger, more inclusive community where opportunities reach even the most disadvantaged.
